tiny insects in wheetbix

I had two boxes of wheetbix purchased from Checkers hyper about two weeks ago that was on special. I had opened the one box on Sunday and was disgusted to find hundreds of tiny insects crawling inside sealed pack and opened it to see if i was correct. i then opened the other one and this was worse as the insect was outside the protective plastic. Now i realized that there was a problem as there were other food stuff in the cupboard and upon closer inspection i had noticed that the stuff directly around the wheetbix was infested. I would not have singled out the wheetbix as a culprit if it was not for the sealed packet having the insects in them. I have the proof and have lost out on other products that had to be thrown out. I wonder how many other people have this problem and did not inspect the product closer. I do not have the receipt to claim for my loss from Checkers but i believe that this is the fault of pioneer foods. I need to be compensated for my losses.
