Rotten bread

I bought bread through Pick'n pay Asap...on Sunday the 22nd/05. Sasko white bread with the expiry date of 24th/05. The taste was not so great.... today the 24th...the bread is off....the whole half a loaf of bread has fungus. Why are consumers sold rotten bread?????
