Complete disregard of a valid complaint

On the 1st of April 2023 I bought a 5kg bag of White Star maize meal at Shoprite Super Store in Kempton Park; which upon opening I discovered it had small worms and showed signs of rotting even though the expiry date was still okay. I found the customer care contact online and notified them. They gave me a WhatsApp contact to send pics of the product which I did, and they have been blue-ticking my follow-up texts ever since. Blatantly ignoring my query is really concerning for a big brand like this. As an employee who works at Health and Safety for my company I understand how disappointing is this treatment towards a concerned customer who has a valid complaint. No wonder SA will always be a third world country, with such stunts performed by the leading brands there's surely no hope for South Africa in the business world. Truly concerning and embarrassing.
