We purchased an extended warranty from bmw , at the time the vehicles motor plan expired. This was sold to us via Bmw . We recently had a claim and we have been given the run around regarding the approval of such repairs. The vehicle stood at The bmw the glen for approx two weeks without being repaired, despite all documents requested by bmw pinnafrica for authorisation. The claims manager Mr Adilson Correia just frustrated the process and refused to authorise the said claim. The quote submitted by bmw the glen was R 45019.25. So we got another quote for the same repairs excluding some unnecessary repairs which bmw the glen quoted on, came to R7636.82. The car was repaired after 20 days and payment was made by ourselves for the release of the vehicle. I then sent my claim to Mr Correia, who refused to pay . He said that the claim was not authorised and therefore it is being declined. I understand if we had other repairs done other than the repairs that were earlier diagnosed. Then repudiating the claim would be fair. Please be careful when dealing with this company, they do not see the merits of customer satisfaction. Very dissapointed with bmw. Just for comparison i have a 2012 mercedes benz , also purchased extended warranty from mercedes. I dont have to run around when my vehicle goes in for service it all gets sorted out by the dealer , all i have to do is collect my vehicle what a pleasure.
