Horrific Experience!

Shoddy workers, shoddy workmanship and terrible result.

We removed the center pillar to a double garage, built in an I beam and created the required gap of 4880mm for installation of a Chromadek Centurion T10 motor driven double garage door.

Two workers arrived on site instead of the required 3 - you cannot install something level having a 4880 span without someone holding or checking in the middle.

They emptied a truck full of nails and *****s onto the driveway paving without cleaning up and just sitting there in the joints and ready for tires to pick up.

The panel brackets were put on skew.

They had a level which was out of tune - not indicating correctly causing them to install the door panels skew.

The runner stays or braces were not cut square and installed with a burnt 10mm concrete bit.

They asked whether we could borrow them some tools.

Incorrect brackets installed made the door inoperative and 3 more workers arrived to help.

The handle was installed skew.

Plaster of the pillars were damaged.

The 114x38 frame timber was installed with imperfections showing instead of turning the timber around thus concealing the imperfections.

We paid for 4 remotes and only two arrived on site.

Brace for motor shaft fitted to 32x32 Bloekom brandering whereas it should have been fitted to a 114x38 brace between the brandering.

Cornicing damaged during installation.

Three cross bracing to doors not fitted level because of the level not indicating properly.

Inferior wall plugs used.

Used my tool box us a table and welder made a hole in the lid.

Installer not drilling pilot holes when driving in *****s.

They used a diamond grinder disc to cut wood instead of a hand saw.

No protection sheets for the already laid floor tiles.

Only 1 steppies on site whereas 2 are needed.

Arrived on site without an 8mm HEX bit.

The installer asked me for full and final settlement before finishing the job.

When discrepancies were pointed out he threatened me with his cordless drill by pointing the bit in my face and telling me that he was going to remove the garage door.

I called his office and they were extremely rude and asked me to send them pics by cellphone.

The office told the installer that more workers were sent by them to help and between us we had to sort out the problems.

Later it was found that the door castors were running off the one guide and management did not fulfill this promise to come and repair it.

A horrible experience and I would strongly recommend nobody use the services of Pinnacle Services.

They did not realized that they were installing a door for a professional builder
