Pinetown Senior Primary School teaching Integrity with no Integrity to offer themselves - Very Sad

We were approached by the headmaster of the school to register, design and host a website for the school which was done at a highly subsidized rate. The site was live for just under a year when the headmaster tragically passed away. Due to the nature of the situation and timing of the annual renewal date, we renewed the domain and continued hosting the website at our cost so the school would not lose any traction or credibility during the transition, pending the appointment of a new head. Once the new acting headmistress was appointed we approached the school for the roughly R600.00 for the years hosting and domain renewal. We were met with the most disgusting response. First off we were requested to provide a copy of the 'contract' to 'prove' that we were ever approached to design the 'live' site and hosting thereof. We explained that 'contracts' are not a norm in the creation of a simple entry level website design and hosting and that unless cancelled, are generally expected to be a natural renewal process until the desire to end the hosting service is expressed. We provided proof, by forwarding through all transcripts and screenshots of comms with the previous head master during the process. Still we were met with ridiculous denial and avoidance responses. So finally we sent through a mail suggesting the school only pay for the out of pocket expenses we had incurred by that point and the months of hosting already provided with a suggestion that they either verbally or in writing advise of their intention to cancel. We were advised that they would revert a.s.a.p. We never heard back from them. They flat ignored our comms and request for payment of the, already highly subsidized design and service provided. The sad thing is that they profess to be teaching 'integrity' to the youth in their care. We gave them more than ample time to acknowledge the service and debt and even the opportunity to cancel as is customary. They never did... Pathetic and sad, in our opinion. It seems the new leadership of the school no longer has any reasonable level of 'Integrity' to offer. We will write off the R600.00, but for R600.00 the school has just damaged their good name and credibility going forward.
