SAVED MY DOG'S LIFE

My dog, Comet, went in for a routine spay in December. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Her heart kept stopping under anaesthetic and she bled profusely. It was a completely unexpected, traumatic occurrence.<br> <br> Dr Edwardes did everything she could to keep her alive. Eventually she called on Dr Zozo Kubayo (Durban SPCA), who travelled at break-neck speed all the way to Pinetown to assist.<br> <br> They eventually managed to stabilise Comet at 10 pm that night. Dr Edwardes fought hard, refused to call it quits and they managed to save her. Her nurse came to work at 5 am the next morning to make sure she was still okay.<br> <br> I have never in all my born days experienced such dedication and compassion in a medical practitioner. It took a couple of weeks for Comet to feel better but thanks to both doctors my beloved girl is alive and well (and up to her usual nonsense - *****ing from the neighbours and hiding her stash under a tree).<br> <br> Dr Edwardes is an amazing doctor and human being. When a patient sadly passes on, she always sends the owner a condolensce card.<br> <br> I am so grateful to both doctors.
