Zipline Accident-NO 1ST AID-BAD COMMUNICATION

<p>I had taken part in the adventure sports at Pine Lodge in Port Elizabeth. Whilst Ziplinning on my 2nd rope coming to the end i realized i was not going to lift my legs in time...</p> <p>1. When trying to lift the device to stop -it failed</p> <p>2. I then crashed into the ramp at a high speed</p> <p>3.Smashed my shin badly at a high speed</p> <p>4.I was hanging in mid air for 5mins in the heat, the guide on the other end did NOT know what to do.</p> <p>4.A guide from the 1st tower came to help me screaming at his other colleague as she was unaware of what to do.</p> <p>5.After the swift guide from tower 1 came to assist me on arrival at the reception there was no 1st aid kit or 1 aider avail on duty</p> <p>6.A member a part of my group is a 1st aider and she had to come to my aid.</p> <p>7.A incident accident report was filled out and to this day Pine Lodge refuses to part with my incident accident report with my signature on.</p> <p>8.I am still receiving treatment for my leg as I now have no feeling in the front....</p> <p> </p> <p>Needless to say i had spent the rest of my holidays homebound and in pain.</p> <p>I do believe if they had better equipment and handled this accident properly all of this could be avoided.</p> <p>Instead the manager in which i was dealing with decided to be rather abrupt for a lack of words trying to handle this situation.</p> <p> </p> <p>To this day from December 2016 I have still not received a follow up call or my document.</p>
