Disgusting customer service

<p>I have been searching for barnyard shutters and had been recommended to try looking at Cane and Pine in Voortrekker rd, Parow as they might have. As I entered their store I was surprised to see a woman sitting behind a desk bottle-feeding her baby and her toddler running around in the background unattended. This startled me as I wasn't certain if this woman worked there or not. I continued hanging around browsing various items hoping that someone 'less pre-ooccupied' would be able to assist me. This however turned out not to be the case as the same woman that bottle-fed her baby had laid the baby in her cot to assist me. She indeed worked heret I politely asked about the shutters I required and was told that they do not have. I asked to browse around the store a little more perhaps I would see something else I might just like. And I did! It was a pine shaped coffee table carved into a unique block shape. The same woman in the store approaches me once as she could see my interest and I told her I will be taking it definetly! She told me that they do deliveries as the table was quite big. I came up with a better idea stating that I would go home and get my bakkie and could take the table in it! She agreed and told me to go get the bakkie she would hold onto the table! No sooner had my husband and I returned when we discovered to our horror the table was sold! The sales woman dealt with suffered severe amnesia! She very nonchalantly claimed after much deliberation and debate that her Boss had told her to sell it to another customer, it was like she said 'out of her control?!!!' She was unsympathetic and unapologetic about the whole situation! She simply did not care! No empathy was bestowed instead a group of people in her corner found giggling and laughing at me a more appropriate approach to this matter!!! I am disgusted and appalled! Where is the professionalism in this place and what happened to customer service? Why had this sales woman not recommended that I secure my item with a deposit???????? </p> <p>I am livid with disgust at Cane and Pine!!!!</p> <p> </p>
