Terrible state of roads at the Pilanesberg National Park

The roads at this national park are in an absolute shocking state and as day visitor.. Instead of looking for animals, you looking at the road constantly trying to avoid craters !! Yes they are not potholes anymore ! There's one link called the Tau link which shows as a tar road, however this a almost non exist road as there's in no Tar left! This makes for a very unpleasant experience as a day visitor. The only alternative is a guided game drive .. Which well over priced ! Strangely they charge you R40 per vehicle, but clearly this money is not being spent on maintaining the roads as there's no maintenance at all. Had a really disappointing weekend.
