Protect our heritage.

Despite the fact that I always opt to see the silver edge of the dark cloud, this undesirable situation has to be elevated. We are frequent visitors of the park and witness the deterioration. The gravel roads which use to be perfect for any sedan, are hardly accessible with an LDV. Tar roads deteriorate and no sign of maintenance can be observed. View points that were demolished or burnt down, still need to be rebuild. After almost two decades of regular visits, the game numbers reduced drastically. No Buffalo were seen for more than two years. The access road to Bkubung game lodge is on the verge of closing it down due to inaccessibility caused by potholes. The majority of visitors to this lodge appear to be foreigners. It is really a shame that the park doesn't do anything to rectify or rebuilt this road, even if it may not be their responsibility. This beautiful park and invaluable heritage must be protected at all cost. If the bureaucracy in power is incapable of managing our heritage, we, the public, must strongly act. And, I must add, this action should NOT be by way of donations. Since there is no other platform (to my knowledge), this platform should be used. This is a strong outcry to the public to act and preserve our heritage. Langenhoven said, "The pen is mightier than the sword".
