Title: Extremely Late Cancellation & No Regard for Customer Losses I am extremely unhappy with how the Michael Jackson ballet show at Montecasino was handled. I travelled from another city specifically for this event, spending close to R10,000 on flights and related costs. We only found out at around 10:00 on the morning of the show that it was cancelled — giving us about 5 hours’ notice. What makes this even worse is that the organisers allegedly knew about the cancellation as early as 18:00 the previous evening but chose not to inform customers. We were already at Montecasino the night before. Had we been informed then, we could have made alternative plans or attended a different show. Instead, we were left with no options and a completely wasted trip. What is most frustrating is being told that the production would have suffered financial losses if the show went ahead — yet there seems to be no concern at all for the financial losses suffered by customers. This was not an act of nature or something unavoidable — it was a decision made by the organisers, and the consequences were passed directly onto paying customers. If low attendance was the reason, this is something that should have been identified well in advance. Cancelling on the day shows poor planning and a complete lack of consideration for customers who had already committed time and money. Yes, ticket refunds are expected — but that does not come close to covering the real financial impact and inconvenience caused. I expect: Full ticket refunds, and A fair engagement regarding compensation for the financial losses caused by this late decision This was a very poor customer experience, and I will escalate the matter further if it is not handled properly.

I watched Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat. The sound was so blaringly loud that it was almost distorting. It was just an awful, tinny, treble noise. The experience was almost intolerable and I returned home with a headache. I did notify the ushers, who I think spoke to the sound technician, as the 2nd half was slightly improved. I have contacted the theatre on numerous occasions for reimbur*****t and beyond claiming they would follow up (3 weeks ago) never have and ignore all communication, It is a lot of money to spend on a show that has not even been competently sound checked. A musical without a soundcheck is unforgivable.
