Pieter Kruger Foundation: Is it a ****?

I am yet to see reviews or testimonials from attending Pieter Kruger Foundation. I don’t know why they do not want social media presence as it would help with their ‘cause’.

Their goal is to teach the unemployed culinary skills so that they can better their lives, however they need to work on their administration process. It seems like everything is run by the three sisters. Here’s what to expect on application day:

1. Briefing (what the foundation is about) 2. An interview (why you want to be part of it) 3. Outcome of your application 4. Pay registration

I will say from start to finish, it was a weird experience. We were told to switch off our phones (no explanation as to why) and they constantly check the phones to see if they are off. With high rates of human trafficking in SA - this doesn’t put anyone at ease.

After the interview, you are directed to one of the sisters who informs you of their decision. If you are not successful, they don’t even give you a reason. I was there with my sister and when she asked the answer was ‘I don’t have your information’.

I noticed that most people who were there either have matric or didn’t reach matric. Makes one wonder if they are targeting people who will not question their processes.

The only good thing I will say is that you can only pay after you have been informed if your application was successful or not. Or we got lucky since we wanted to transfer the money. If you have cash - it might be a different story.

We left confused. Why were our applications not successful. Was it the education level, our location??

If that’s the case, I think they should be more specific when they advertise.
