Incomplete Work and Unkept Promises - Proceed with Caution

We hired Pieter Jordaan, Soltech from Potchefstroom to install a solar system, cameras and complete some smaller tasks. After paying the quoted amount, Pieter began the job but then stopped showing up, giving various excuses over several months. Its now been five months and the work remains unfinished. Despite many attempts to get him to complete the project, there has been no progress. We've since discovered he has moved, possibly to avoid being contacted but we have located his new address. We have also learned that we are not the only people affected by his behaviour. We are currently speaking with another parties lawyer about joining a legal case. We are sharing our experience here to warn others and urge anyone else affected to come forward.
