****roaches and Rats ,carpets saturated in urine

This place is absolutely ******* , firstly , Pienaar dam offers permanent residency on a contractual basis, exactly the same as if you would rent a flat. Well I was a permanent resident , I paid R5000 per month for a bachelor unit , the unit was filthy , it had no cooking amenities such as a basic stove . You would have to solve that problem yourself. there was one kitchen cupboard that was rotten to the core and only a cupboard because it held the sink up. But rotten none the less. The unit had carpeting , the carpets were filthy beyond belief and walking around without your shoes on inside the unit was dangerously gross. The carpets had an over powering stanch of urine to them, I had washed and vacuumed them numerous times, and the administration had promised to wash these carpets prior to me moving in. Which did not happen. Furthering to the to R5000 fee , you are required to purchase you own electricity, this would not have been a problem , except that I would be surprised if this place has an Electrical Conformance Certificate for these units and all around the "resort" itself. I myself have had to try and tape up live wires that simply hung from the walls after i was repeatedly electrocuted by them. so that's to say that the electric units I continuously needed to purchase could not be adequately monitored and budgeted for. There is absolutely no pest control. And as that place is situated right next to mielie fields and a dam you would expect religious extermination programs practiced. Except there is none, within very close proximity to the restaurant and bar including the tuck-shop , the permanent residency units are over run by huge ****roaches ,rats and field mice. I had ordered a takeaway only once from that restaurant and after I found 2 grey hairs in my chicken schnitzel I resolved to refrain from purchasing any of their highly over priced consumables. I didn't want to feel the need to fish around in my cuisine for random rat hairs or ****roach eggs. And should any resident have the smallest complaint the administration office , and owners of the place, seldom assist in a resolve, rather retaliation onto whomever had the audacity to complain. This is not a bitterness complaint, rather a major concern for anyone who is desperate enough to have no other choice but to move in to one of these disgusting units. Be warned.
