i opened a foschini account in 2011 or 2012 and i was paying the account, i then lost my job and couldn't pay, Foschini stores handed me over to Pienaar and Associates, they contacted me and i made an arrangement to pay R 50 per month via a Stop order which i had paid up until July 2020. i refuse to pay any further balance towards this account as during the course of 2019 and 2020 Pienaar and associates would call me and advise that i need to make arrangements with them and that i need to place a debit order on my account and that my stop order is not sufficient, further whenever they called they would harass me and push for me to place a debit order and when i explained to them that i do not want a debit order as i have already got a stop order they would phone me on a daily basis and force me for the debit order. they also would tell me that for every call they make i being charged, they also would call me even though payment was made, if the date for payment fell on a Sunday my bank would deduct on a Monday, Pienaar and associates would call me and tell me that payment was not made and when i use to tell them that it was a Sunday and not a business day and that my bank would deduct on the next business day, they would be rude to me and say they proceeding, but payment was being made via stop order. i sent them an email advising them of that and i never heard from them afterwards, but when I was checking my credit record I saw that the account is still listed and unpaid. once i did an enquiry once again Pienaar and associates called me. I will not pay any further balance to them as the amount that is currently outstanding if for phone calls that Pienaar and associates made to me even though the account was being paid, it was unnecessarily incurred by them.
