Terrible!

My friends and I looked forward to taking a few days out of our busy lives, and booked at this place. However, we ended up not staying there for reasons stated below: The advert was *********, the place was nothing like the pictures shown, the facilities listed were not available, and the owner was the rudest and most ****** woman my friends and I have ever met. We drove 2hrs just to arrive at the place and it literally looked like something out of The Wrong Turn movies, dilapidated shacks EVERYWHERE on the property, and rusty corrugated iron walls and roofs. The woman said she had ‘upgraded’ us to a different house without notifying us beforehand. She was extremely condescending towards us. Our search on the Booking.com site was for a pet friendly place since we have a dog, but when we got there, the lady rudely told us she didn’t allow pets and rudely drove away as we were trying to tell her that her property showed up on the app even with that filter. We eventually had to drive back 2 hours, in rush hour traffic, in the heat. But we preferred that over ever having to deal with her again. Yet, as we were driving home, she called us FIVE times asking if we had picked up a lost phone somewhere on the property, which we found very harassing and yet again, rude. We were all really bummed out our outing was ruined, until we found another lady in DBN who turned out to be the most amazing host from A Place of Grace in Durban. I have never in my entire life met anyone like the woman from Piccadilly Cottage, and would do well never to meet one ever again. The whole place is a dump, but the host’s attitude is even worse.

If you want peace of mind, don’t go there. Or you can go and just see for yourself.
