Misleading Advertising

Picardi published an add in the Pretoria East Rekord dated March,17. They advertised Johny Walker Black 750 ml @ R199.00 per bottle. The add is valid from 14-21 March 2017. I went there on Saturday,18, to buy some of this. At the till I was told it was a printing error and they cannot sell the whisky to me at the advertised price. The manager was called and I pointed the add at him whereupon he immediately referred me to the term E. & O.E. and refused to entertain my claim. He then gave me the name of a Brenda and her contact ********** saying she iis the supervisor/manager. My problem is that I drove to the centre which is on the side of Morelettapark and not a destination address with the intention of purchasing more than one unit. The reaction of the manager clearly indicated that I was not the first customer to complain. Who is to blame in acase like this? Surely the printer and or Picardi must take responsibility as proof reading and signing off should have taken place. It is misleading advertising and drawing customers to a little loss leading store and they should not be allowed to get away with it. If it was a small one man show operation I could still excuse them ,but a national retailer? Pathetic
