A series of pathetic events

<p>We went to the Piatto at uShaka on the 28th of December at around 11 for an early lunch.</p> <p> </p> <p>I ordered a pasta and someone else at our table ordered the eisbein special. We waited a marathon time for our food, only to be confronted my a waiter who came and told me that their 'pasta lady' did not pitch for work. She was supposed to be there at 9 already. I can't believe we had to wait about 40 minutes to be told this. They knew for more than 2 hours that she wasn't there! But no one told me this when I ordered. Anyway, I had to order something else then, but that wasn't the end of our ordeal.</p> <p> </p> <p>After waiting another 10 minutes, the manager came and told us that they are out of eisbeins and blamed the staff and suppliers for not having their acts together. It's honestly ridiculous that they only realized this more than 45 minutes AFTER we've ordered. How is it possible?? I also don't think staff and suppliers not having their acts together is an excuse. As a manager YOU should make sure everything's in order and that your restaurant is ready to go and not have people wait almost an hour just to hear that major portions of your menu is a no-go!</p>
