Terrible quality and dishonest owner

I definitely do not recommend this business! I used Phormatwood previously and got a couch I was happy with (although the foam shifted quite easy and the seats are now uneven and you can clearly see the edges of it). I had a simple straight forward project of pallet patio furniture which I then asked Kagiso Madalane if he could manufacture it for me. He assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I paid him the full amount up front. I was in hospital when it was collected. I was warned that they didn't think it looked like what I'd asked for. When I saw it I was horrified. There were small pieces of wood attached randomly all over, the boards hadn't ben sanded, the boards were peeling, nothing was straight or even, parts had not been painted at all and there were large paint drops and runs on pieces that had. I sent the piece back as it was not what he agreed to build. He signed a contract to pay me back a portion of what I'd paid him originally (out of the R4800 I asked for R3000 back, which was frankly quite generous). The first month a payment was due September he had excuses and didn't pay so I said he could pay half of the agreed monthly amount over a greater number of months. The next payment was due a month later, I messaged twice and got no answer. Eventually, I received an answer sending a third message stating I would open a case of theft and *****. He simply tried to guilt me into not doing but at no point actually offered to make a payment but I really don't want this experience to happen to someone else.
