Abhorrent communication and service delivery

In early August I purchased sneakers from the company, however when the shoes were delivered to me, they were too big after I had confirmed the size I require twice. Then I arranged for an exchange to take place, and due to an employee being on leave I was told on the 7th of August that I would receive the correct size sneakers by no later than Sunday (yesterday). I still have not received any communication regarding why the exchange did not take place, or when I can expect the exchange to take place.
