Awesome service!
I recently had an excellent experience with Philwest Volkswagen Somerset West, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, trustworthy, and hassle-free vehicle buying experience. A special thank you to Elroy Marsh, who went above and beyond throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, Elroy was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. He made the whole process smooth and comfortable, kept me informed every step of the way, and genuinely made me feel like a valued customer rather than just another sale. It’s refreshing to deal with someone who takes pride in what they do and truly cares about their customers. Elroy’s service was exceptional, and he is a real asset to Philwest Volkswagen Somerset West. True example of the Salesman being sold with the vehicle! Thank you to Elroy and Irene for making my experience such a positive one. I’m extremely happy and would definitely recommend Philwest Volkswagen Somerset West to family and friends. Excellent service, excellent team, and an exceptional salesman. Thank you, Elroy! 👏🚗⭐

VW Polo Hooter Failure After Recalled Airbag Replacement
During August 2025, I sent my 2013 VW Polo 1.6 Trendline to Philwest for repairs, in response to a general recall by VW Africa on airbags that risked exploding upon activation. Shortly after the free exchange of the airbag inflation mechanism, the hooter stopped working. I find the coincidence highly suspect. The hooter had been working flawlessly before the airbag replacement. I have paid over R3600 to have the hooter replaced with a new one. I want to find out whether there is a general trend of the Polo hooter failing shortly after VW dealerships have replaced fault airbag inflation mechanisms over the past year.
