BE CAREFUL, ALWAYS.

So in October 2018, my wife and I decided to upgrade our car to an A4 we saw on an ad that Pharoah Investments had put up. The entire experience of buying the car was seamless, from the staff to the sales process and everything in between, it was top notch customer service.

Fast forward to less than a month later, our vehicle needs to be towed because the expansion box pipes are worn out. Being the reasonable person I am, I called the warranty company that I was advised on and I looked like an idiot when I found out that “the warranty does not cover hoses and pipes”. I called Pharoah and asked how this happened because I was advised that any problem with our vehicle would be covered by the warranty.

But again, for some reason, Pharoah came through for me and reimbursed me about R6000 that I had spent on the repairs. Again, I felt the proper customer service.

Let’s fast forward to two days ago (29/01/2019)...our vehicle begins complaining about low coolant levels, so I filled it up with the correct coolant on the same day and parked the car then went to bed. When I left for work the following morning, I noticed the coolant I had filled up the previous night on the floor. Out of frustration, I called Audi and asked them for a full diagnostic test.

So guess what, the radiator, water pump AND thermostat are all leaking and, these leaks are going to cost us no less than R27 000 as per the quote. All this, in the space of 3 months. Coincidence perhaps ?

Anyway, bottom line...ALWAYS be careful when buying a car that has been owned by another person. Read EVERYTHING and, know exactly what you are putting your signature down for.
