Debt collectors need to be controlled

Hi As i was retrenched in October 2020 ,i had outsanding school fees for my son.This i paid over to Phamakani in November 2020 upon receiving my package.My son finished up in Cape Town in September 2020 and started in Johannesburg October 2020 ,so i did not pay the Cape Town school for the last semester , as we gave notice of his leaving. Now in September 2021 Phamakani reaches out to me and informs me that i owe them R3000 in service fees which has not been paid ,but no mention was made for almost a year regarding service fees ,no emails,no phone calls nothing. Now suddenly I must just pay over R3000 to Phamakani for services i do not even have a statement for.
