Bad installation from recommended installer, no accountability

PG Aluminium Randburg sold my son an aluminium frame sliding door and delivered it to his unit in Sunninghill Gardens. My son was recommended to use MC Glass and Aluminiumfor the installation (a separate review).

The deficiencies in the installation performed by MC Glass on Sept 23 were reported to the branch manager of PG Aluminium, Stephan Boshoff, on Sept26/27th who has "spoken to" Stoffel van Deventer of MC Glass but has not been to site to check for himself. Although PG Aluminium did not do the installation, there is a moral culpability with the deficiencies of a recommended installer. It would appear that Mr Boshoff takes the side of Mr van Deventer instead of making an objective evaluation on site.

Not withstanding the above, it has come to light that the glass used has not been marked with the appropriate safety glass markings for laminated glass bearing the number "1".This is contrary to National Building Reguations' requirements.
