Feel **********

I have been paying insurance for my cat for almost a year now and up until this point have not made 1 claim to date howerver on the 29th of June my cat hurt her paw so I took her to my vet. I got a bill for R557.00. I submited it that day to Petsure. Around the 30 May they came back to me and said they could not process it because my cat did not have a chip. I took my cat to the vet the and paid R289 to have a chip put in her. She is a good cat and does not leave my property but i did it any way, I submited proof of the chip on the 13 of June.

I have just recieved a letter on the 23rd of June almost a month later from the time I submited her acount to say that of the R557 claim Petsure will pay me R155 as there is an 180 exess fee plus they only pay 230 consultation fees and small amounts for injections.

The thing is I had to pay 289 to have my cat chiped to get back R155 of a 557 vet bill.

Does not sound right and also I challenge them to find a vet in JHB northern suburbs who charges 230 for a consultation

Apologies I took her to the vet on the 29th of May not June

The MD of Petsure phoned me and explained how they got to the amount.
I realize I have been to critical on them and apologize, and have changed my rating.
I have paid thousand of rands with my previous pets in vet bills when something serious goes wrong and I now realize that on the smaller claims you dont get much back but when something serious goes wrong it is a service you would want to have.
