Injured animals not reported

due to renovations taking place on my property, after consulting the builder it was decided that it would be much safer for the pets to be off site during the first 2 eeks, due to drilling and banging from demolition before restructuring could commence. The website & pictures on Facebook of dogs on holiday showed that the animals were socialized & not kept cramped up in a kennel all day. Payment had to be made upfront in <br> cash. I checked up on my dogs, was informed by the owner that all was well, the only issue was that my dogs did not get along with fellow bassets. Upon arriving to collect my dogs, I found they were slightly disorientated, a bit too excited ( as if just let out of a cage for the first time), and my beagle had a bad laceration on her left shoulder, which was bothering her. I spoke to the owner who informed me there was no need to go to the vet. My better judgement took them both to the vet immediately - the vet confirmed a bad infection from the cut, to the point that my dog had a fever. In addition fleas were jumping off my dog onto the vets examining table in clear site! Follow up with the owner who made no point in apologizing and said she did nothing wrong.
