Late delivery and lost itmens

At the Monday pick up (7th November) of my furniture in Pretoria we were informed that the expected date of delivery in Cape Town would be Thursday or Friday. A maximum delivery date of a week was also communicated when I booked the move. I started following up on Thursday and was told that I would be informed when the truck arrived in Cape Town. When I finally got hold of them on Friday I was informed that the truck had broken down in East London and that I would be informed when it arrived. At this stage I had already made them aware of the urgency of my delivery on numerous occasions. Monday another e-mail, no reply. Wednesday I call again and the promise to call back before end of business is ignored. I follow up with another mail. After another call to them by a third party, I only receive delivery of my goods by Friday. I pay promptly before delivery as arranged. At delivery I report that my bar table is missing. The movers report having seen it on another trailer and explain that things were moved over to another truck in the dark during the breakdown. I immediate report this to head office and communicate that I will send a full report by the end of the weekend. I report a couple of boxes and two additional bar chairs missing over the weekend. On Monday I am told they will look into it and report back. On Wednesday my partner calls about the missing items and they have no clue what he’s talking about. I follow up with a mail and am informed that the team has left to tend to another removal and that I will know what happened when they return. More complains and e-mails from my side and this Monday I hear they are on their way back and that head office will revert back to me. It is Thursday again, 3 and a half weeks after my move was picked up. These people have not apologized or shown any kind of interest to take ownership to be responsible for their side of the deal. Shockingly bad service. Painful dealing with them.
