Lack of knowledge, over charging, rip-off!

Be warned! Although he is an old man, he is a shameless *******! Spend three days trying to repair a warm water pressure problem.... left two times to go and seek "advice" ...and each time only return the next day. When asking him if can fix the problem, only reply "I'm working on it" Eventually, only the valve needs to be replaced, which (I found out later) costs between R500 to R700, but then I received an invoice for R2800! When questioning him on the ridiculous amount he got rude and scream over the phone that it was for the three days he spent working on my geyser! When I mentioned that I'm not going to pay for his lack of knowledge and why he did not communicate that I'm going to pay for every time he gets into his car to go and seek advice, he started screaming at me that I must do what I want and put the phone down in my ear! Well, I am not a dishonest person. I eventually paid him only R1500, which is way too much for the simple job he did. Never, ever will I use someone without asking for his certificate, or doing research on the internet. Learned my lesson the hard way.
