Devious and no integrity

I have used a house sitter for 7 years to look after my dog whilst away. In June he was not going to be available and introduced me to Bronwyn from Pet Buddiezzz who agreed to stand in for him. She insisted I pay a deposit and sign a contract which I did. My usual house sitter then became available again so I requested that Bronwyn forward my deposit to this individual as he was now going to be doing the house sitting as usual. What she now says is that I'm "canceling" with Pet Buddiezzz and that in terms of the contract the deposit is non-refundable. This is both miselading and devious and indicates bad faith as Bronwyn is acutely aware of the circumstances under which the contract was signed. It is not a lot of money but on principle I find her attitude fundamentally dishonest and lacking integrity. I warn all prospective customers of thinking twice before using this service.
