Bogus Pest Control Service – Misrepresentation & Poor Service
I live in a complex where carpenter bees were damaging the roof rafters. We hired Pest Control Solutions to address the problem. The company misrepresented its qualifications, was not registered with SAPCA or DALRRD, and failed to deliver the promised service. The provider, Ryno, used Fipronil and Creosote — both highly toxic substances — without proper safety measures. He employed a casual worker with no experience, who lacked protective clothing. The treatment was rushed, taking only 15 minutes per house, and was poorly app****. The sealant was over thinned and ended up on garage doors, stoeps, gutters, paving, windows, and even the grass. Despite assurances, the bees returned within hours. When residents complained, the provider refused to clean up, saying the mess would wash away with rain. It did not, leaving every resident to clean their surroundings themselves. This service was unsafe, unprofessional, and ineffective. I strongly advise against using this provider.
