SHOCKING SERVICE AND QUALITY OF FOOD

<p>Wednesday 4th January 2017</p> <p>Perseverance Tavern Buitenkant Street, Cape Town</p> <p>I have been to this pub restaurant many times and last night is the last time I will ever go there. It was a friends birthday and we decided to go there for Eisbeins.</p> <p>We get there, I order a Graca White wine, no stock of that. I then ordered a Red wine which was in stock. We then asked if they had 4 Eisbeins the waiter went and confirmed yes they had. So we order them. The manager then came and said he apologises they only have 3 in stock. I then order a 300 gram rump steak. So we sit and wait the food arrives. The 2 Eisbeins one looks like the remains of someones EIsbein which has extra pieces of Pork put on top of it. The combinations were all wrong. 2 were supposed to have mash on no mash but veggies and sauerkraut. Then my steak arrives. A prego Roll. Not even a prego Roll it was a checkers hamburger bun. I then sent that away. It comes back just off the bun. Not a 300 gram steak at all. It was about a 150 gram steak and well done and not even medium. We then sent the half eaten Eisbein back. This is totally unacceptable service from one of the longest standing pubs in Cape Town. The manager did reverse all our drinks off the bill however which was not that much anyway. They have apparently changed ownership 6 months ago. This is a total disgrace to even go there and spend that amount of money for that food we received. I would never recommend them to anyone.</p>
