Dear Owners of the Peregrines

We often stop at you framstall for coffee take something fresh and warm to eat, but today 34 September as been quite a terrible experience of how your staff as well as some of your customers still think white should get preferences over anyone else that's not white.

We were 5 wanting to have breakfast, entered our names into the register with the lady manning the door. After waiting patiently for a table to open as customers were finishing their breakfast we started getting checking in with the lady manning the door but just to be told there is no table. We found it strange cause we saw group of 8 people leaving but she kept insisting she didn't have a table for 5. I got fed up cause I could see a similar group leaving and approach her. At the same time she was busy offering a table of 4 to a customer who has just arrived. After trying to convince her that we qualify for the space of she combines the 2 empty tables. At that time it was no longer a conversation between myself and this lady but also a rudely white gentleman who thought he had a right ot the space simply because he was white because he she made him feel more important. Our persistence not to compromise on the table eventually got the gentleman to work away but not without lots of unasked and for comments. We eventually sat down 5 people at a 4 seawater table just to realise that table that was initially open for 6 people was allocate to 4 people. Also to customers who arrived after us. They were to swop out when us when they heard me saying thta I'm happy to stand and eat it that's whta it takes to get service to any person other than white. Its pretty sad thta whilst we celebrate Heritage day the morning had to start off with like, asking yourself how does Peregrine allow such blatant ****** and feels thta they are doing people of the western cape a favour by allowing to eat there. To top it off, when the customer who forcefully wanted to take our space eventually came to sit, the very same lady asked them if they wanted an another table added to their table. We found that very insulting cause she told us it's company policy not to combine tables to create space for big group.
