Perdeberg Isuzu Vredendal

We purchased a Ford Ranger 2.2 TDCI XLS 4 X 4 with Perderberg Izusu in Vredenburg in August 2021. We advice the salesman that there were issues he had to tend to. We were told to take the bakkie to Isuzu in Swellendam, they then sent it to Rola Ford in Swellendam. IIn August 2022 the bakkie started making a noise. We phoned our insurance, and they told us to take the bakkie to Rola Ford in Riversdale. Ian Calitz from Rola Ford told us the bakkie had a different engine in and there were nuts and bolts missing under the bakkie. The initial problem was the Torque Converter and then we were informed that the gearbox is also leaking and making a noise. Our extended warranty only paid R 24000 and the quote for the torque converter were R 30799 and the gearbox had to be sent to Torque Converter Centre in Cape Town as Rola Ford Riversdale does not have knowledge of automatic gearboxes. This would cost additional R 27000 we do not have, and the insurance does not want to pay. My issue is that if we were informed the bakkie did not have the original engine in, we would not have purchased the bakkie. Since we had the bakkie we drove around in Heidelberg Westen Cape area and the bakkie had 186000 km and now it has 197303 on the clock. We have done +_ 10 000 km in one year? We have numerous times contacted them with the problem and even wrote a review. They read the review and told us they will look into our complaints. Well, so far, they are ignoring our calls, our messages and has done nothing with regards to the complaint. I feel that Perdeberg did not disclose the correct information and should take full responsibility for these repairs! Francois Kemp
