Disappointing

On 25 December 2023 A friend and I went for the first time to Peppina as we have heard so much about that restaurant. It started off as they could not find my friend's reservation. We finally selected a seat at the bench with views to the kitchen. We started with a glass of bubblies and even got a taste before we bought it. However, the wine tasted rather sour, and we could have rather vinegar instead. I have ordered some fish, and it came with peas and spinach. The fish was although very tasty but was hard to chew and the spinach was even worth. It was uneatable and I had to spit out the rest of it. Spinach and fish should be creamy and soft and easy the chew. The price for that dish alone was over $51.- The entre was raw shaved tuna which was not too bad at all. The entire cost for my meal alone was over $138.00 which included the wine and the sorbent dish. In advance I was aware of the exorbitantly high surcharge of 15%. Mind you, it is not the price that I query but rather the value for money. However, the service and the atmosphere were rather quite good. Still, despite the disappointing food dish I will bank this as an experience.
