Wrong price displayed
On the 15th of November 2022, my wife went to Pep clothing store in Bethlehepm next Shoprite. She noticed on display the Decoder(Explorer) selling for R849 and she asked for it. Then cashier rang it and immediately noticed there's price change which they didn't action on the sales floor. Price went up to R999. 00 or they putted up wrong price to deceive customers and I will tell you why. As customer you pay the price you saw. Store Manager (Nkukeng Mashinini) was called to intervene but she wasn't helpful as she came up with stories that system is unable to override Price manually and they don't have manual sales books so my wife should pay full price. I then asked area manager(Beauty Mbatha) number. Called the number twice without getting hold of the area manager few minutes after the store manager spoke to her. Then decided to call customer care number online and was told they'll get an area manager to call me in 5 minutes and I can tell you today still waiting and don't know what is 5 minutes to them. Then called regional office in Bloemfontein my number were taken as previous lady did and was told I would be contacted till today waiting for their call. I'm extremely disgusted by service received in Pep, firstly they displayed wrong price which is not our problem, second they play games including their leaders as well as customer service. Customers are not valued here and I am protected by NCA here. This tells me from Head office of Pep promote the behavior of customers being deceived by displaying wrong prices and forced to pay more than what you saw.
