WORSE RETAIL STORE! NEVER SHOP THERE!! NO EXCHANGES ALLOWED

I received to clothing items as a gift for my daughter, however it was to small. I took it to Longbeach mall PEP for a bigger size, tag still on. They advised they cannot exchange or refund without a slip. I called customer care and they advised its a new policy implemented from November 2018 and it states on the slip. No one informed the person there is a new policy nor does it state anywhere in the store. I do not have the slip nor does the person that purchased it, yet i am sitting with clothing that cannot be used and PEP does not want to provide me with a bigger size or exchange it was something to the same value. I am not asking for the money back, just something that fits. This is pathetic. I will take this matter to the Ombudsman, no matter what the value of the item is, its the principle.
