Whatever happened to right to privacy?

Dear PEP. I am not comfortable giving you all my personal information (including residential address) just to return a R50 pair of shoes. Your customer care line confirmed that I can't return it if I don't give my personal info. I'll henceforth be shopping elsewhere where my privacy is protected.
