Voucher ****

Very disappointing I must say. My mom went to PEP store to get a cellphone contract. She was then offered a voucher that equates to the cellphone amount. She had to pay R500 in order to activate the voucher (Which does not reflect on the slip). Few weeks after, she started receiving phone calls from their finance/accounts department demanding payment. It was confusing as to why she kept on receiving calls and SMSs even though payment was made. No one responded to the emails with a tangible answer. When I call the store, I was told I can't make an enquiry on her behalf. When she visited the store on numerous occasions to enquire, the Tellers would ignore her complaint and asked if she sent an email. She finally asked for the Manager, who then discovered that a credit account was opened in her name without her consent. When they followed up with the person who assisted her, she denied that she offered a voucher. Now my mom is forced to pay 2 accounts with her pension money because she was misled. Mind you, she does know a difference between a voucher and an account.
