Unhappy customer

I bought a phone at PEP stores in Uitenhage town. The date was 30/11/2021 last year. Now the thing the phone takes two sim cards. So I was using the Telkom one that I was always using before I bought the phone. The phone came out with a MTN sim that I used occasionally. What happened is the phone was locked because of that, apparently I was supposed to use the MTN sim card. Now yesterday I take the phone with the box and the starter pack to them to be fixed. They told me they cant take the phone without a charger. Now my question was are they going to fix the phone or the charger because I don't have the charger with me? The answer was they can't help me without the charger. I offered to buy a charger from the store and they told me that's not going to work they need the actual charger of the phone. I left the store so confused. I am still looking for the phone's charger but the service I received I am still not happy about it.
