Terrible Customer service!

I am writing to make a formal complaint about the conduct of a member of staff in your Ferndale ON Republic store on 22-10-2025 at approximately 4pm. I was shopping with my adult daughter and my 4‑year‑old son, who has autism. For safety and to prevent him running around the store, we always place him in the trolley. While we were in the store my son began peeling an orange while seated in the trolley. Because the trolley base has holes, a peel fell through as we tried to navigate the already cluttered and narrow aisles. A staff member (Later know as the manager) then loudly and angrily addressed this in a dismissive tone and spoke in vanac with obvious disgust, once we realised what was going on and tried to apologise and rectify the situation. Rather than accepting our apology and allowing us to correct the situation, she became increasingly rude and hostile. When I asked for the manager at the till to report what had happened I was told that it was the manager who addressed us in that manner. She left the store quickly after this and when I encountered her again as I was leaving she removed her jacket and pretended not to know us, in passing I advised her that I was going to report her for her behaviour and was again met with her asking “what did she do wrong?” When I tried to explain she repeated her hostile behaviour, she said she would not “clean up after my child” not that we expected her too. This behaviour was distressing for my son and my family. It felt discriminatory and wholly disproportionate to the minor incident of orange peel. The store environment that day was also poor, shoes thrown in baskets on the floor, long queues and only one person at the till, which added to a very unpleasant shopping experience. I was also told that “it would be my word against hers”.
