Good day On the 19/08/2017 I purchased a Samsung J1 at at Pepcell in Diepkloof Square in Soweto. I was given a demo phone placed on display, I wasn't really concerned because I wanted was the phone. I made a purchase for it and was happy. 2 Weeks down the line my phone's battery was dead thereafter I charged it then lit it on. I discovered my phone had some pop up message on the screen stating "Safe mode". I battled to remove the error message because it was affecting all the Apps I had on my phone. I then had no choice but to take the phone back to the store cause its under warranty. The store took my phone in(can't remember the consultant's name) for repairs. They then promised to call me back once the phone is back in the store. I waited for 3 weeks after my phone was handed in, on the 27/09/2017 I just decided to go check up on the progress. I walked in the store and they found that it was "back" from the repairs department.
Concerns:
-My phone still has the same problem. -The "results" came back as "liquid damage", which is a lie, I only had the phone for 2 weeks. The phone is still working perfectly fine but problem is that it's on safe mode disabling Apps to work. -I was never contacted as soon as the phone arrived. -Sales consultant(Mpumi) **** to me after I denied keeping my phone in contact with water, she advised my phone could've caught my body sweat while in my pocket, Which I just find ridiculous and stupid. So I was advised I couldn't get money back or a replacement phone, After using it for 2 weeks and still under warranty.
Expectations: I need a refund or another phone for all the inconvenience caused.
