Poor trained Sales Staff

Went into Pep Cell Northgate today to buy a cellphone , Sales Staff poorly trained on product knowledge and had very limited knowledge on how to advise customers on making a purchasing decision.I wonder if they expect people to be clued up , SO WHAT IS THEIR JOB?<br> <br> Just by the way - there was an assistant in the store from another company promoting , he was sitting behind the counter and literally falling asleep , this was about 16H30 today.
