Poor staff training
Today, I went to PEP to courier a parcel via Paxi for my daughter. Never having done this before, I asked a salesperson what to do, and she told me to get a bag. At the counter, I mentioned I was sending something and asked what to do. The cashier said I needed to buy a bag, so I did. When I showed another staff member the voucher, she didn’t recognize it and asked the cashier, who rudely said it was my fault for not showing the voucher first. Shocked, I asked why staff aren’t trained to ask about vouchers before selling bags. I was told I’d lose my money because it was my mistake. I lost R110 due to poor training. The rude cashier was Olwethu, and the staff member who closed my bag without asking about the voucher was Verona. This incident occurred at PEP Stores, N1 City, Cape Town.
