PEP ZEERUST - DISAPPOINTING CUSTOMER SERVICE
I was not going to lay a complaint regarding the bad incident at PEP Home (Church Street) Zeerust, but I again had a bad experience at PEP branch 205 today. So in general PEP's service delivery is up to ****!
08/09/2025: standing in the que to pay at Pep Home (Church Street Zeerust), I needed to buy batteries and there is only one shelf with batteries by the till point. While I was waiting to be assisted I was looking for the correct battery size and I even let the people behind me pass to the open till point while I was looking for the correct batteries and the cashier was assisting a customer at the till point where the batteries are shelved. The Cashier (unfortunately did not look at her name badge) rudely requested me to step back from the where I was standing. Confused as I was not keeping up the line or interfering with the customer she was assisting, she kept on rudely telling me to "STEP BACK" I looked at her in shock as she did not give me an explanation as to what I was doing wrong. I worked at PEP in Zeerust for 5years myself and could not understand why she was talking to me in that manner. I got angry and left the shop.
Todays incident (23/069/2025:) Needed to buy a t-shirt urgently. Came into the shop got what I needed and when I came to the till point I was told that I can only pay cash. None of the till points are accepting cards. I got frustrated and angry and told them that this is not my problem, as a customer I should have been informed by the staff when walking into the shop, that they do not accept card payments. Now it is expected from me to walk to a ATM and withdraw cash to pay for my shopping.
I am not a happy customer and as a ex-staff member of PEP I am so disappointed. I feel that there is no more customer service in these stores like in our days.
