Pep Wooley Street, Port Shepstone

I'm so disappointed about how we were treated at the Pep in Woodley street, Port Shepstone.

I'm from Durban and on Friday I was in Port Shepstone, I decided to buy a few things from pep (socks, stockings and I needed a body warmer which was out of stock). My sister was accompanying me, when we got to the shop we started looking around. After some minutes I noticed a lady who works there was busy following us as to see if we were not *****ing, ok that was a first in all my times of buying at pep. She then told us that 1 person has to stay in the shop, the one who's buying. I asked since when, she said it's a thing they do at that shop. Ok, my sister decided to leave. When I went to pay I asked the cashier is this how they really operate or they were just doing this to us? I then asked to talk to the manager, she called him for me. I did let him know how unhappy I was with all that was happening, while I was talking to the manager other staff members came. First it was a guy, so I asked him why is he there because I was just talking to the manager and I was not even shouting? He said that he thought the manager needed help, from what? I'm still confused, are we not allowed to talk to the manager as well?

I need clarification as to how this store operates so differently from all the other stores?
