Pep Stores Calderwood Street Queenstown TERRIBLE Service from Store Manager Freddie

<p>I went to Pep Stores in Queenstown at 8:30 in morning to do an exchange. While I was standing in the queue the store manager left the store and did not inform anyone at the store of his whereabouts. When customers (including myself) needed voids on items to be done, the manager was not at the store and had not delegated the duty to anyone else. I was told to go to another store.</p> <p> </p> <p>I left to find another store but the school items I was looking for were not available at any of the other stores. I went back to the same Pep around 9:30 am . Fortunately when I arrived I was told that Freddie the manager was back and my items were still with the lady I left them with, so I went to stand in the queue. When I reached the till again, the Manager had left the store and no-one knew where he went. I decided to wait for him, he returned 20 minutes later and went to stand by the window chatting on the phone.</p> <p> </p> <p>The lady at the teller proceeded to call him to the till to assist with the void, but got no response from the manager. I decided to go ask him myself to assist as I had been waiting for him for over 30 minutes, and he assisted.</p> <p>The lady at the store thanked me for intervening as she says she would have gotten no response from him.</p> <p> </p> <p>Customer service should not suffer because of internal politics at Pep Stores. South Africa has a shortage of jobs, if he gets irritated with dealing with customer and the other staff at the store then the duties must be given to some-one else willing to do the job or he should learn to delagate.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
