Pep Stores Botswana do not accept Barclays or Standard bank cards

5 weeks ago at PEP I made a large purchase for my classroom. When the cashier had rung up my purchase I gave her My Botswana Barclays Debit card. She gave it back to me and said that PEP stores had new swipe machines and Barclays cards did not work on them. I asked to speak to the manageress and asked why there was NO SIGN at the tills stating this fact. She shrugged and said the problem would be resolved that week. Today, completely forgetting about the last fiasco with my card, I returned to PEP in Selebi-Phikwe to purchase items for my class party and the same thing happened. 5 WEEKS and they still have not sorted out their " glitch" AND no where is there a sign informing customers that they cannot use their Barclays or Standard Bank cards to purchase at PEP STORES BOTSWANA. Do Pep REALISE HOW MUCH BUSINESS THEY ARE LOSING? Once again the Manageress shrugged and LAUGHED
