Pep Stores Bothasig

On Sunday the 4th June I went into Pep Stores Bothasig, Cape Town to purchase some clothes.
Shortly before going to the cash desk to pay, I saw a stand that had combined tracksuit pants and tops on with the price on the stand noting an amount R59.99.

I immediately took two of these as the price was good. On reaching the tlll, the lady rang up the various items and the two tracksuits I had with me, were rung up at R109.99 each. I then pointed out to the lady behind the till that the amount on display was R59.99. She stared blankly at me for a few seconds and after i stated for a second time she then rep**** that the amount displayed was incorrect.

This is not my problem. The sign was clearly visible to all in the store and said R59.99. The store manager then walked out from behind the counter and proceeded to remove the sign without so much as a word. There are various signs in that store, and I'm pretty sure that the majority are displaying incorrect amounts. As the consumer, i'm supposed to pay the amount on display and am not happy by the way the situation was handled.
