PEP stores

Someone has opened a Pep revolving credit in my name with using my ID. How is this even possible in todays era, is it that easy to open an account with out the persons rightful information? Shouldn't there be biometrics taken? Now i need to go to the police station and to their stores to fill in documents! It is so pathetic that a huge company like your has no safety measures, or poor safety measure that anyone can open a revolving credit account.
